This Insight Report shares the key findings from a virtual workshop to develop knowledge around Suicide Prevention and the Sikh faith hosted by Taraki in collaboration with Faith Action and the Punjabi Mental Health Roundtable.
Taraki is a not-for-profit organisation working with Punjabi communities to reshape approaches to mental health through awareness, education, social support, and research. Faith Action is a national network of faith-based organisations involved in social action projects, in collaboration with the VCS Health and Well-being Alliance which represents various communities and interacts with health and care organisations, including the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England, and UK HS. The Punjabi Mental Health Roundtable is a collective comprised of mental health professionals, mental health advocates, and mental health non-profit leaders from Punjabi communities.
